PM Modi has installed cameras, will know if you vote Congress: BJP MLA

Date:

BJP MLA Ramesh Katara from Fatehpura (Gujarat) stoked a controversy on Tuesday when he allegedly threatened voters saying those who fail to vote for the BJP will be identified and won’t be given jobs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has installed cameras inside the polling booths and will know who has voted for whom, the Fatehpura MLA said while campaigning for the national polls at a village in Dahod constituency.

“There should not be any room for error as Narendra Modi has installed cameras inside the polling stations this time. We will know who has voted for Congress. Those who don’t vote or vote for Congress will be identified and not given work,” Ramesh Katara said as he campaigned for BJP candidate Jaswant Sinh Bhabhor from Dahod.

Katara also asked voters to only vote for Jaswant Sinh Bhabhor, who is the current parliamentarian from Dahod.

“You will see the photo of Jaswant Sinh Bhabhor with the lotus symbol on the EVM. Look for that and press the button. There should not be any room for error,” Ramesh Katara said.

Earlier on Monday, the Election Commission had pulled up several political leaders, including Union minister Maneka Gandhi, for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
