Following Trump Snub Imran meets Pak Army Chief

Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa was called by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office on Monday to discuss security matters.

Khan’s office statement revealed that security issues were discussed by the two in the meeting.

This is the third meeting between the two Pakistani officials. This comes ahead of US Secretary of State. Mike Pompeo and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen Joseph Dunford’s visit to Islamabad on Wednesday, the 5th of September 2018.

The two US officials are also scheduled to meet PM Imran Khan during the course of their visit.
