Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a man in Madhya Pradesh allegedly stuffed a strong adhesive (glue) in his wife’s mouth, nose and eyes. The said woman, 35, died of suffocation.
According to the police reports, The incident took place at their residence in Rajput Colony in Vidisha on August 3. The victim has been identified as Durga Bai and her husband as Halkeram Kushwaha.
‘The victim, Durga Bai, suffocated to death after her husband Halkeram Kushwaha stuffed a strong adhesive, used for sticking broken items, in her mouth, nose and eyes,’ Kotwali police station Inspector R.N. Sharma told PTI.
The matter came to light when one of the two sons of the accused found the body of his mother lying static on the floor. Victim’s 15-year-old son lodged a police complaint after which Halkeram was booked for murder and a search was launched to nab him.
The boy told the police that Halkeramwas a drunkard and often got into a fight with his mother. He also said that once he had tried to poison his mother.
In 2016, a similar incident was reported from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, where a woman allegedly tried to kill her husband after using the same adhesive while he was asleep.
