Mulayam denies dispute in Yadav family

Date:

Lucknow: In a major setback in UP politics, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday used many words to neglect the question on Akhilesh Yadav‘s projection as Uttar Pradesh chief minister in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled early next year.

Mulayam Singh said, “the legislature party will get together and choose a leader,” also adding, “there is no dispute.”

Throughout the press conference, Mulayam Singh sat with his younger brother Shivpal Yadav, who has involved in a sharp power fight with nephew Akhilesh.

If there were any more suspense of his son’s separation, the SP chief dismissed all the questions that referenced the chief minister.

At one point Mulayam snapped, “What is this family that you keep talking about?” And then, gripping his brother’s hand he said, “This is family.”

Despite Akhilesh Yadav’s genuine attempts to submerge the plans, the SP has declared their alliance with the party led by gangster-lawmaker Mukhtar Ansari. The deal was mediated by Shivpal Yadav, who also holds important portfolios in the Akhilesh Yadav government.
